Congratulations on the wedding, and please take the (unsolicited) advice as someone who has recently had a wedding: do not freak out about anything because you won’t remember it anyway.

dood. borders customers come from another planet, i just know it. one of my last days before heading back to planet stony brook i had two customers fight with me over returns without receipts. they just couldn’t fathom that they’d missed the cut-off date for their returns. so they argued that it wasn’t fair!

so sorry, i didn’t know we were waiting for YOU to make your return before we went back to our COMPANY POLICY.

twice, i heard that we’d lost a “customer”. apparently, when WE give THEM money, they’re customers. not the other way around! how could i have been so mistaken all this time?

Haha, well, there are times I have to roll over too. But I make sure it’s when I really have no other choice — like when the customer is being so abusive and mean that I fear for my life. Or I’m in a good mood (always rare in retail, I have found).

i am so glad that your store/you actually upholds the return policy. i can’t count how many times a customer has gotten a supervisor to roll over and bark because they were upset.

We get some JW’s from time to time. I tell them that my mortal soul is accounted for and I quite like celebrating Christmas and saying the pledge and they usually walk away.
